Erasmus University Medical Center

HTC International was commissioned by Kuijpers Centrale Projecten to install a high-quality universal communication network for the new education center of the Erasmus MC in Rotterdam. For Erasmus MC, the universal communication network is mission-critical and must therefore be in perfect condition. Consequently, the network was delivered with a 25-year certification using Brand-Rex components.

Our activities

 

1. The installation of a certified Cat6A network with 825 (S/FTP Cat.6A) network connections distributed across the floors to various patch cabinet combinations installed by us. The relevant connections for AV systems were also installed with full certification. The network is constructed entirely with Brand-Rex components and is certified for 25 years.

2. Our scope of work also included the installation of fiber optic backbones, consisting of 24-core 9/125 (OS1) single-mode fiber optic cables to each SER, and 12-core 9/125 single-mode fiber optic cables for the Thorax system. All fibers were terminated on LC fiber optic connectors using pigtails, and all fiber optic connections were measured using OTDR.

HTC International was also commissioned by Kuijpers Centrale Projecten to install the universal communication network for the new biological safety laboratory, where safety and operational reliability are paramount. It is a class 3+ laboratory, a classification indicating that work involves highly dangerous pathogens. On the 26th floor, 1,500 m² has been reserved for the brand-new laboratory, with technical rooms for this floor located on the 25th and 27th floors.
