Sustainability
At HTC International, a focus on sustainability is a matter of course. We consider it our duty to ensure that future generations have a livable, safe, and clean environment. We are therefore constantly seeking solutions that contribute to a sustainable and livable society, both now and in the future.
Waste reduction
When it comes to waste reduction, we can already demonstrate concrete examples of our ongoing efforts. For instance, HTC International strives to minimize the use of packaging materials by ordering products in bulk. Items are delivered in bulk containers, allowing manufacturers and suppliers to save on plastic and cardboard. Cable reels are essential in our field, and discarding them is not an option for us. We work with manufacturers and suppliers to reuse these reels by collecting them and requesting that they be taken back. We do the same with items such as pallets and pallet collars, ensuring they can also be reused.
BREEAM
We see many projects in the market being developed with BREEAM certification. This means that increasingly higher demands are placed on the sustainability criteria a project must meet—a development that HTC International welcomes. In collaboration with various partners, we have successfully delivered several BREEAM projects in recent years. Throughout the renovation or new construction of these projects, sustainability is taken into account from start to finish—from the manufacturing of individual components and project realization to installation and final delivery. BREEAM is thus pre-eminently a responsibility of the entire supply chain. Within this, HTC International takes responsibility for the sustainable realization of the complete network infrastructure. This includes aspects such as waste separation and comprehensive mileage registration, as well as encouraging the reuse of reels and pallets.
