Our history
A [net]work with a story
HTC International began in 1993 as HTC Telematica, literally at the kitchen table. The first ground cables were terminated in the living room, forming the foundation of our company. What started as a small initiative with great enthusiasm and craftsmanship quickly grew into a serious player in the market.
In the years that followed, we expanded our field of operations. From telephone exchanges to contributing to television productions such as De 5 Uur Show, Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden, and Idols. These are projects we still look back on with pleasure, demonstrating that we have always felt at home in dynamic, technical environments.
As a family business, one thing was always central: our people. That sense of building something bigger together even took the whole team to Las Vegas in 2001. This trip symbolized our ambition to look beyond the Netherlands. Not long after, HTC International became a reality.
The world became more digital, and we grew with it. Today, we support customers throughout Europe with complete solutions: from data networks and fiber optics to camera systems and telecommunications.
What has remained the same all these years? Our commitment, our craftsmanship, and the way we work together. Many colleagues have been with us for more than 25 years. That says something about who we are.
Who we are today
That same foundation is reflected in the story of our General Director, Nick de Haas. He started at the age of 17 as an assistant technician, with a pair of pliers and a screwdriver in his pocket, on his way to his first job in Switzerland. Practical, curious, and with a passion for technology. Exactly how HTC International once began.
After years in the technical field, he progressed further, left the company to develop commercially, and helped build the successful communication platform ClearVox Nexxt. There, he gained the experience that brought him back to HTC International.
His return marks not a new chapter, but a logical continuation. With fresh energy and a broader perspective, he is helping HTC International continue to build for the future. With the same mentality as before, but with even more focus on the customer.
Still a Family Business
HTC International remains a family business, but one that has grown into an international partner in data and communication solutions.
